Mackenzie McDonald is an American professional tennis player who was born on 16 April 1995 in Piedmont, California, the United Stats of America. Notably, he broke into ATP Top 50 players ranking list in February 2022 and reached the his career-high No.37 in October.

College Tennis Career: During the couple of years(2014-2016) of college tennis at UCLA, McDonald showcased his tennis prowess and claimed 2016 NCAA singles and doubles titles. Eventually, he concluded the 2016 college tennis season as No.1 in singles and doubles and went to professional.

ATP Main draw debut: McDonald went to professional in 2016 but he made ATP main draw at the 2013 Cincinnati Masters as a wildcard qualifier entrant.
Grand Slam debut: He made a grand slam debut during the 2016 US Open as a wildcard entrant.
First Top 10 win: American claimed his first top 10 win after trashing Juan Martin del Potro(4-6, 6-3, 7(7)-6(5)) in the quarterfinal at the 2019 Delray Beach Open.
Maiden ATP Tour Final: Mackenzie McDonald reached his first ATP Tour final at the 2021 Citi Open in Washington following the victories over NicK Kyrgios, Benoit Paire, Ilya Ivashka, Denis Kudla, and Kei Nishikori.
Career Biggest win: Notably, he marked the biggest win of his career after defeating World No.2 Rafael Nadal during the second round of the 2023 Australian Open.
Injuries: McDonald suffered a serious right hamstring injury during the 2019 French Open singles and doubles matches.
Achievements: Mackenzie McDonald was voted as the ATP comeback player of the year in 2021.
